Meet Jas Rawlinson
Jas Rawlinson is an award-winning speaker, best-selling author, and advocate for living life out loud despite adversity.
With a background in journalism, psychology, and advocacy, Jas has impacted hundreds of thousands of lives. Her expertise has taken her from investigating crime networks to working alongside anti-trafficking teams in Southeast Asia—and even swimming with sharks on reality TV. Above all, Jas is a passionate believer that trauma does not have to be a life sentence.
"Own your story—all of it. Because when you share it with others, you don't just heal yourself, you change the world one story at a time."
Rise from Rock Bottom
Growing up in a small mountain valley with the bush on her back doorstep, and a small tribe of trusty animals as her best friends, Jas lived a life that was the envy of many around her.
But what no one knew, was the truth about the violence, fear, and daily survival she was navigating behind closed doors.
“Many days were spent hiding in my cupboard, fearing for my safety, or running through paddocks to escape from my father’s violence.”
Those early experiences laid the foundations for a deep promise she made to herself: to one day use her voice to help others.
Finding Purpose Through Storytelling…
Jas began her career as a freelance journalist, drawn not to surface-level stories but to issues that mattered, like domestic violence, mental health, and human rights.
“I wasn’t interested in fluff pieces about diets and fashion. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.”
From there, she built a platform focused on lived experience, healing, and advocacy. Today, as a neurodivergent woman and educator, Jas combines personal narrative with practical tools to help others find their voice and become the author of their lives.
Today, Jas is a leading voice for...
Rising above adversity and owning your voice
Healing people pleasing and learning to set unapologetic boundaries
Recovery after domestic violence and the warning signs of relationship red flags
The power of lived experience and storytelling as a vehicle for cultural change in prevention
Whether she’s speaking at women’s conferences and universities, or community organisations and councils, Jas brings insight and the kind of strength that inspires real change.
"Own your story—all of it. Because when you share it with others, you don't just heal yourself, you change the world one story at a time."
